Speaking as someone with a near-photographic memory for songs (well, 'audiographic', I guess), I don't recognise this melody from anything at all.
And lovely it is, too.
Sometimes an easy write just means one got that music from beyond moment (so I believe) and it's just really special. Savour it!

Wonderful film. This and Explorers (4K on this when?) remain two of my fav films of the 80s (or ever) which I saw in the cinema as a young-un.
