Earlier this week, some young women from London attended an open event at Kleek Apprenticeships, in celebration of #NationalApprenticeshipWeek. They met with the course tutors, learnt about the structure of the apprenticeships available there, and had a chance to practice hair styling techniques.
Year 9 students recently visited State Street for an #insightday where they learnt about working at an investment bank. One attendee said “Today was very fun and informative, I liked the activity where we had to invest because it got us thinking.” Thanks to State Street for hosting this event!
Last term, young people from our programmes attended insight days at Ardian, Citi and State Street. These events are designed to support young people to develop workplace skills like communication and organisation. Thanks to all the volunteers who made these events so impactful.
This term, a group of FutureMe and Making Strides young people took part in a 3-day work experience programme at Canon EMEA, where they developed work readiness skills and gained insight into roles at Canon.

Last week, young women on our She Speaks project visited Citi. The attendees made vision boards, mentored each other to set goals and spoke with Citi staff about what it means to be an ally.
