I don't mind some jank, I'm just not sure how to import comments without breaking the already imported-multiple-times read only ones.
As part of a website revamp I guess I should look into a more sustainable comment system…it’d be the 4th time moving the comments though, some of the oldest read-only ones are from Smackjeeves!
I ended up w Hyvor as part of a pilot program with Hiveworks, not knowing at the time how much it would cost on my own or that I’d be leaving 🤪 that’s on me but I was just glad to get rid of Disqus’s weird ads!
Not super sure what I’m going to do yet—the next smallest plan costs like $35/mo or something goofy like that. I‘ll see what happens with March but if comments stop working before end of month you’ll know why lol
