That's good - most of the books I'm after aren't new, they're usually old foundational texts, which seems to be exactly what they're missing.

That's nuts.

I've seen people talk about libraries as "the new third place" and I think the problem there is that they're still meant to function as libraries first and foremost.

Not to mention the range of books is kinda dire. The philosophy section was maybe two rows on a single shelf.

Kinda depressing that libraries in this city are clearing out books to make room for more computers.

I went to go borrow a book and read for a bit, had a bunch of people having a loud convo in the computer section instead.
