Medical debt, and its abolishment, is confusing. Here, I try to break it down. I hope you enjoy!

Thank you Clay! π§‘
when I started making music I dreamed of nobody even knowing what I looked like unless they'd seen me play live. I didn't put a single picture of myself on a record for 25 years. I hold the tyranny of the visual to be a general plague and the imperative to be seen in motion lest one vanish a loss
The office tonight!
One of the most rewarding parts of higher education, for me, was building cross-generational relationships. My favorite class had myself, a couple 20- and 30- year olds, and two 70+ gentlemen enabled by this program.
Every day I wake up to a cold world knowing that Stancil woke up earlier and more eager to fight 900 cops than I do to drink a cup of coffee and login to Teams
Thanks so much for the shout, Clay! π§‘

Thank you! And YES, the health department and Mercy Health folks are hard at work. All around, eKy's harm reduction efforts are so encouraging to see.
Woah, that's my story! Thank you!

This work is best done when placed in an ecosystem. Communities are seeing results with preventative and harm-reduction programs in tandem.
A social media post from a prominent Lexington conductor said the parkβs 5,000-seat amphitheater is only affordable for national groups.
Food Chain has provided fresh, local food to the community for over a decade, serving up free meals three afternoons a week from it's Sixth Street location. Now, thanks to a new hot food vending machine right outside the building, those meals can be accessible 24/7.
If you or someone you know gets a letter this week saying your medical debt is gone, please reach out to me! I would love to chat.

Lottie, a 15yo in Pike County, KY, writes for @kentucky.com about the impact of SNAP delays in her community, which is still recovering from flooding. Cars line up hours before the church where she volunteers begins giving out food: "I see this line growing longer and longer month after month..."

A poster on a corkboard with other posters. Itβs brown and sepia, with text over a photo of the band sitting in a radio studio (WMKY). Clay and Anabel sit as if working, looking up from their papers and microphones at Violet. Violet sits on the central desk and plays her fiddle. The text reads: VIOLET AND THE NEWSROOM - COUNTRY & FOLK COVERS - OLD TIME FIDDLE TUNES - ORIGINAL MUSIC - NOV 09 4-6 PM - KENTUCKY COFFEETREE CAFE - 235 WEST BROADWAY STREET, FRANKFORT, KY 40601 - NO COVER, RECORDING LIVE
Business cards on a business card corkboard. A hand (Clayβs) holds a card reading βVIOLET AND THE NEWSROOMβ in white over a monochromatic green background of violet flowers. The reverse side (pinned to the corkboard behind his hand) reads βVIOLET & THE NEWSROOM - VIOLET - ANABEL - CLAY - ACOUSTIC FOLK STRING BAND - KY, USA - newsroom.bandβ there is also a QR code that leads to the same website. Handwritten on the card is: βBOOK US FOR YOUR PARTY, WEDDING, BACKGROUND TUNESβ
What are you doing November 9th? Weβll be (god willing!) recording a live show with a focus on originals and old-time faves. No cover, just pop in and grab a drink at the Kentucky Coffeetree Cafe in Frankfort between 4 and 6!
Thank you Clay! π₯Ί
