I think I should take more pictures. So I set out with my Minolta x700, and plenty of CineStill 800T like so many hobbyists before me, to capture the great scenes and loves of my life. … but my heart moves like a machine. Perpetual, powerful, persistent. I love fast and hard and forever in a way that is sadly incompatible with film in all ways, save for permanence and by the time I get my photographs developed I am greeted with the echoes of a fleeting pleasure from weeks ago. At least when I see them through the camera, its with the grit and grain, and the odd tints and blooms of light that the medium is known for, a reminder of the flaws I don't remember. Just wish it didn't cost sixteen fucking dollars.
