My go-to increase if a pattern doesnβt specify a directional one!

#showmeyourknits is #sweaters for getting cozy in March! My favorite thing to knit. This Fragmented Sweater (by WestKnits) was made for my husband. He picked the colorway from West Wool Tandemβs vast selection.
Oh hey! Itβs been a while #knitsky. Iβve been away and took a break from socials while gone.
#showmeyourknits is all about #lace this week. Itβs been a while since Iβve knit lacework so hereβs a crappy photo of an infinity shawl I worked up back in 2013.

No grays for #showmeyourknits this week, but I am almost finished with a side quest Iβm WIPping up this month to counter the gray outside!
Daybreak by #westknits because I can always use another something to tie around my neck. #wipwednesday π§Ά
Thank you!
Early #WIPWednesday post this week to brag that I have successfully (re)knitted two rows of stars in my Shooting Stars sweater! π§Ά #showmeyourknits

Decided I need more orange in my life. Knitting up #westknits Daybreak (yes, itβs a go-to pattern for me) with #PortFiber Dance Dance Dance as the main color. This colorway is called Juicy Fruit. π§Ά
Week 78 of #showmryourknits is #garterstitch! This storm is a good day to work up a project in it and binge watch something.
Hereβs another of #westknits Purlbreak shawl I made.

Shooting Stars v2 is working up nicely.
I have opted to use spindles of the yellow for each section of the yoke pattern. A method common in weaving and lacework. Itβs working out better than I hoped!
Someone ask me about the spindles
Week 86 of #showmeyourknits is helping hands! Hereβs a pair of owl mittens made from Elaine Fitzpatrickβs Who Gives a Hoot pattern π§Ά

Operation Fresh Start is underway! All progress on the Shooting Stars sweater has been unraveled, new plan visualized, studio saged for clarity. Iβm ready to begin again. π§Ά #showmeyourknits
I could barely fit it over my chest when I tried it on so need to rework it. π
I highly recommend using your #swift if you have one and need to frog colorwork. It keeping the tangling threads at bay so well! π§Ά #showmeyourknits
As I was winding back I remembered that my measurements didnβt quite fit the sizing chart. Also, the yellow yarn isnβt as springy as the rest. I decided to forge ahead anyway.
SO going for a fresh start, tweak the pattern and do the colorwork differently.
Trust your gut. Todayβs a new day. 2/2
Tried to post an update to yesterdayβs debacle and somehow deleted it. Fitting for this series of errors in this project π
RECAP: Tried it on and itβs too tight with no way to fix without frogging. Chose to go back to arm splitβ¦ 1/2

Ohmygosh! You all are so wonderful. Thank you!
*gasp* I was just admiring a couple extra skeins of Cirro in my stash. βΉοΈ
Week 76 of #showmeyourknits is whatβs on your needles?π§Ά
I started a test of this geometric puff from the book Knit Fold Pleat Repeat to think about possibilities.
Also plugging away at the Shooting Stars sweater.
This is a depressing trend in new school design and budget cuts. Libraries are becoming shared spaces, usually media centers (if they exist at all) and librarians are tasked with multiple schools instead of full time in one.
Well folks, I reached a point that I cannot ignore there is no way I have enough yarn to complete this project and have a design tweak I want to add. π I bought another skein of the deep blue from #lambstringsyarn. π€π»it arrives quickly π§Ά #showmeyourknits #WIP
π I so relate to this whole situation
Hi Carol! Iβve been knitting for 17 years, studied fiber arts for my BA, and crafting I general since I was a kid to keep my hands busy. What I like to knit changes in time, the last few years Iβve focused on pullover sweaters but have a big goal to complete a cardigan and brave steeking for 2026!
Iβve been knitting in my studio the last couple days instead of on the couch. When I moved my project over, grabbed a blanket and invited him to join me he gave me the sincerest look of stunned joy.
Now heβs draped and twitching on my lap #catintheirhappyplace
Yes, plants do remind us they have their own schedule all the time. π
I must confess, if the knot ends up in the βbackβ of my knit work and isnβt noticeable I leave it and just keep going these days
