Which is another reason for writing flawed characters. At least you have an idea of who the character is going to piss off so you can have some control over it.

“But characters should be flawed” definitely gets trotted out when an author gets unexpected backlash on a character they thought was going to get them brownie points for good representation. 🙄

Somehow you can always tell. Characters that are flawed on purpose can be the most endearing, but nothing is more cringe than a main character who is the most useless, lazy, selfish being in existence but who still gets treated like the savior.

People talk about how it’s fine for a character to have flaws, but I think what gets overlooked it the author has to have some awareness that they are flaws. There’s a difference between a character written as flawed and an asshole the author thinks is totally justified. #writingsky

First they let it heal for a good six months. Then they probably have to do a bone graft because apparently without teeth your jaw just kind of dissolves over time. Then they put in a little plug and let that heal a few months. Then they install the new tooth, finally 😛

As someone who got a new cyborg toof, it took so dang long 🫥 I would have liked to just grow it myself!
