If disconnecting the power didn’t help, that rules out a simple reset. Still could be a temp sensor issue sending faulty signals or a control board issue. Calling a repair tech is a good idea they can give you a clear answer before you decide whether to fix it or replace the range.

😄 Yeah! I wish someone told me that bit of advice when I needed it. What you’re describing sounds like a failing temp sensor or control board issue. Depending on the issue it could be $150+ to fix. But like Corinne mentioned I've also heard overheating can sometimes be fixed by unplugging the range.

If your oven won’t turn on at all, check the breaker first. I replaced mine thinking it was done, only to have the same issue with the new one… turned out the breaker had tripped, so it was an unnecessary expense. 😅
But if you have to replace your range, induction is an excellent upgrade.
