Testing your immunity for measles is a good idea. I had a titer done before enrolling in graduate school years ago because I couldn't find complete childhood immunization records. Sure enough, it turned out I needed a top-up on MMR.

I got my titers tested rather than just going ahead & getting an MMR booster because the test doesn't put anything new in your body and my weird body already has so much going on that I'd rather not *add* anything if I don't have to - and it turns out I'm good!

This should be a safe assumption but isn't actually true for all of us, bc every body is different (my healthcare professional relative, eg, has to get re-vaxxed occasionally bc the MMR just doesn't stick for them).

Get vaccinated if you're able. Make sure you've got some immunity if your doctor will run your titers. If you're unsure if you were vaccinated, or have an older vaxx consider getting a booster.

I'm unsure how people really think people were downplaying a virus that can kill you, make you go blind, wipe out your immune system for years, and oh yeah come back and kill you a decade after you thought you'd shaken it.
