Why didn’t you know this? Platner lies in reporters’ faces but no one fact-checks him. When his Nazi tattoo was first reported, he ran to Tommy Vietor’s podcast for damage control. He told his false leaving-the-Marines story; Vietor laughed with him. No hard questions for your buddies. 6/

Of course Platner knew what his Nazi symbol was. It changed his life. His tattoos were reviewed when he asked to return active duty; a trained officer looked for violations. The sleeve tattoos were OK. The Totenkopf was not. Platner chose to keep it. Somewhere in DoD, it’s all written down. 5/

Uh yes, the Humvee and a towed 30 kW diesel generator. The two main elements of a PATRIOT.

This seems pretty conclusive that he has been grotesquely dishonest about the whole thing, and it was almost certainly his Nazi tattoo that got him barred from the Marines in 2009.

Yazd missile base hit

Tunnel entrances targeted. Support buildings destroyed. Craters along the road suggest efforts at TEL plinking, but its hard to say whether they were successful.

Thanks as always to our friends at Planet Labs

Let’s talk about Graham Platner’s Big Lie, finally. In 2009, at the height of the Gulf War, the Marines barred him from active duty. Platner claims it was his forearm tattoos. But his one forbidden tattoo was the Nazi symbol on his chest. He knew - and he left the Marines rather than give it up. 1/

This is honestly one of the most anti-Jewish things I’ve ever seen from the United States government.

Without the radar that battery is temporarily out of the fight and that means the Patriot batteries deployed to the base will have higher burden placed on them. THAAD and PATRIOT are meant to work together, with THAAD acting as upper layer and PATRIOT as lower layer.

Probably first major US loss of the conflict when it comes to ballistic missile defense. One of TPY-2 radars belonging to the THAAD battery deployed to Muwaffaq Salti Airbase in Jordan seems to have been struck. The full radar set goes over $200M.

Well that's fucked up. Persicope view of a US Navy nuclear submarine sinking an Iranian Navy ship in the Indian Ocean. Seems like the whole aft section dissappears with the blast.

Boeing can manufacture more than 45k JDAM kits a year or 940~ a week. Between 2018-2023 the USAF took delivery of 107k new JDAM kits. I don't think they running out of things to drop on regime targets anytime soon.

Would love for WSJ or whoever is feeding them to explain what exact munitions they are speaking about here. There were 6 different articles before this thing kicked off saying the US only had enough PGMs for a 3-4 days of combat (a blatant lie).

This Carney statement is puzzling. If, as he says, we must accept "the world as it is" – including the purported failure of previous diplomatic efforts and of the international order – then why call for a diplomatic solution, de-escalation, and respect for international law?

03.03.2026 22:58 πŸ‘ 61 πŸ” 22 πŸ’¬ 19 πŸ“Œ 11

There is an unresolved tension between Carney’s desire to project a new, purely realist Canadian stance driven by pragmatic need, and his desire to create a break from the U.S. sphere and play a major role in the alliance of surviving liberal democracies, defending their values. Visible here.

Anthropic is so dangerous it needs to be labeled a supply chain risk and obliterated. But wait, actually it's so critical that maybe the government needs to force it to sell its services to the government.

Another missile launcher was caught at Isfahan north

A second scorch mark is visible in @planet.com imagery from today. The strike may have been shortly after the March 1 image was taken since there was a vehicle there

However, still no hits on the tunnel entrances

An American F-15 fighter jet was shot down by friendly fire in Kuwait. Video shows the pilots managed to eject in time. One of the pilots, who landed on the ground, was surrounded by local residents.

If even that many. Very different context, but 2 Americans killed 17 days apart in MN reshaped the politics (or at least the political dynamics) of Trump’s very forward-leaning and aggressive immigration enforcement/deportation agenda. There is such a brittleness to all of this, and to many of us.

Really noticed this when we left the INF Treaty because Russia tested 9M729 and then when North Korea tested a comparable 1,500km-range LACM in 2021 we made sure to say it didn’t violate UNSCR 1695 and said well at least it wasn’t a ballistic missile lol πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ
