Old enough to know better. Stupid enough to care about it. Daft enough to keep on doing it anyway. Creates VISION ON SOUND for FAB RADIO INTERNATIONAL, and draws a bit πŸ˜€

I remember thinking how ancient Simon & Garfunkel seemed watching the concert in Central Park on TV presumably sometime after 1981.

I still have the double LP of this on a shelf somewhere…

Sunday was spent slowly staggering inexorably towards the last page of what will hopefully eventually be referred to as draft 2 of the latest bookette.

All the trims and tightenings have already made it ten pages longer than draft 1 πŸ˜‚

It’s surprisingly easy to get Christie wrong, it would seem. The stories and structures are so solid, it always amazes me when people decide to mess about with them and try to β€œimprove” them 😱

We’ve just ejected the DVD of A HAUNTING IN VENICE from the machine. Daft as a brush, but stylistically done. I think I enjoyed it more second time around. Not the greatest (I think you’re right in your choices) but not dreadful either πŸ™‚

I’m sure it’s probably a matter of complete indifference to most of the cold, uncaring universe, but today, just before lunchtime, I completed the first draft of the second GRUNTLEIGH β€œCOMPLICATIONS” novella (!)

Absolutely… I’ve just been very conscious lately of some people using that film in particular to press other narratives of their own, if you know what I mean…

Finally got around to watching Hitchcock’s THE LODGER on ITVX, and, apart from some frankly terrible soundtrack choices (recent additions), it’s still rather fascinating at 99 years old πŸ™‚
