Renji has settled in enough to show his goofy personality, which includes barking for treats. The sequence is ask for sit-woof woof-sit-treat. Renji is a senior dog at 9, but he's still got lot of life in him. Come meet him at the Cheyenne Animal Shelter!

Blue loves butt scratches. When he discovered I had treats, he stuck close! He is wearing an easy-walk harness because Animal Care says he is a very strong dog, and it must be doing the trick because I had no problems with him at all. Come meet him at the Cheyenne Animal Shelter!

Coco Pebbles is still at the Cheyenne Animal Shelter waiting for adoption. He is the epitome of all things labrador. If you know your labrador traits, there's no doubt you'll be able to handle this guy!

Walter has no setting between off and high, was thrilled to be out, and excited about the snow. The combination made for a Very Strong Dog! He is also a very loving dog. He has a kidney stone removed, so he is on a special diet. If you can handle that, meet him at the Cheyenne Animal Shelter!

It looks like Stuffed Bell Pepper got adopted sometime after I left the Cheyenne Animal Shelter today! He was one of our longest residents. Woohoo!

Or in the case of most of us here in WY, walk or bike. Public transit here exists, but it's not very good.

I imagine you could find a cat or 2 at a nearby animal shelter.

I think there might be an easy solution to that. Just open up more bike cars on the dasys that are particullarly crowded.

She wants food (or more food)?

Awww! Sounds like he was singing along!

Reagan said you can't legislate morality. It seems legislating it is the only way you get it from some people. You just have to be able to enforce it. I wasn't all that eager to discover how many psychopaths there are in the worl.

Maybe a daily body count will have much the same effect on the U.S. population as it did in Vietnam? I'm not holding my breath, but here's hoping.

That wasn't predictable or anything.

WY's SOS did the same.

He almost looks traumatized.

IMO, the U.S. should price gas like the U.K. does. I've been doing a lot of walking and biking the last couple months, not due to prices, but because I felt like I was relying too much on my car for short jaunts, like, .5-1 mile.

We (well, some of us) don't blame them for looking out for themselves!

The first car I ever owned, I bought in Ohio. The guys at the place I took it for repairs always groaned and hoped they didn't need to remove anything! (Plus, salt addition to the water isn't a good thing!)

Because there's no money in conservation, and money is all they care about.

They keep talking about doing that here in the U.S., and me reaction is the same as yours. Why>? Plus, short memories; it was tried 50-60 years ago, and we ended up doing away with it for all the reasons you mention.

Me three!

Can't say I blame them.

I'm happy to not fit well in sonme groups.

Unfortunately, I live in a town with a military base. We all had to take the ASVAB my junior year of high school. You can imagine how well taking a pointless test proctored by a bunch of people willing to follow orders without question did not go over well with me.

05.03.2026 23:30 ๐Ÿ‘ 5 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Which is why I was never interested in the military. By the time I finished high school, I was DONE taking orders!

Been riding my bike to anywhere I have to go that's 5 miles or less away. I haven't filled up since Jan. 19. Just sayin' it's an option (as long as you don't live in the middle of nowhere).

My dog catches popcorn...not sure about Milkbones.

What? Why? What possible good could come of messing with the night sky more than we have already?

05.03.2026 23:09 ๐Ÿ‘ 2 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

It could have been worse. They could have ripped something up instead of napping.

Only thing it's good for is helping the rich get richer. Eventually, they'll run the world on robots and to hell with the rest of us!
