Over the weekend I made 2 mockups for my gambeson. The first one was so small i could barely get it on. Then I remade it to be bigger and now I’d say it fits perfectly. I haven’t repatterned the sleeves just yet but I’ll do that today and sew those up and see how they fit

So I measured the curves again and my arm hole is literally.1 inch smaller so I’m pretty confident. Watch this confidence get completely obliterated as soon as I make this mockup

I just bought some muslin for my mockup for my gambeson AND I bought a swatch for my potential official fabric for my gambeson. This is very exciting. I think i finished my sleeve pattern but now it’s just the issue of making sure those pieces go together 😭 Measuring curves is hard

I haven’t seen it for myself yet but I did see BW say themselves it was out now. I never looked into where to get it though because I have the game

Update. Did the front. Just putting the pattern up to my body looks good so I’m really hoping for the best. Stopping for the night. My back hurts really bad. Tomorrow I attempt the sleeves

That is fixed now so I’m gonna eat and then make the front panel pattern

I still need to make the sleeve pattern which I’m trying to find out. Then I can start sewing my mock up :3

Okay after looking this over I need to rework it just a smidge. I only need to rework the side seam to make that 90 degree angle and I’m also going to go ahead and find the fabric I wanna use. Just buy a few samples then get my mock up fabric

I’m pretty much working with no measurements and a shirt that has the shape I want. Problem is there’s nothing I can use to reference the front. Idk what I’m doing

Just a small update. Idk if this is a big brain move or not but I’ve made 2 patterns for the back. 1 with seam allowance and 1 without. I feel like it’ll help me measure exactly what I need. I’m having a hard time with the front panels though :/

Here is the back pattern I’m using for my grey warden gambeson. As I’m typing this I’ve come to realize I don’t need a full back I just need half. Good thing the exact middle of the pattern is where the paper separates. It’ll be okay

It was great. I looked great I just used the wrong foam and then I couldn’t move 😭 why tf did I use 5mm foam??? Was I fucking insane???? Then there’s the whole body suit being too long and not realizing until I showed up 😭 What was I on

I did a prototype pauldron piece. I need to rework the pattern. Such as making the bottom about an inch or two longer and making the top dip a little flatter. I wasn’t really giving my all just kinda slapping something together to see if i could do it
