"I did not see him attack the agents or brandish a weapon of any kind."

This is what stood out to me as well. Numerous reasons:
You sent over 2,000 agents into a state with very low level of “undocumented” immigrants. Less than 1% of the countries total
You sent more because we were mad you shot a citizen, mother, in the head.
3,000+ now roam using force
This was pathetic and dirty - so, it was expected.
