I am leading with:
- more that 1 thing can be true
- people knowing about the service is good
- meeting people where they are - including search - is good
...and I am going to dig up some search data for scenarios which do not mention service by name but which are directly relevant.
Never had to persuade someone that SEO is good before π GEO not even on the horizon.
Promoting the service so that users are 'aware' is carrying a lot of weight where I am. Finding the service through google is seen as neutral at best - maybe undesirable.

If the rumours are true and the kids and social media consultation opens today, here are two things I think should be banned from
social media:
1) AI bots
2) recommendations algorithms that optimise for time on site
Firm regulation of both of these things is possible and auditable

Woz seems pretty sad about that chapter these days, although he does take care to package the good with the bad. I agree that internet culture's relationship with reductive narratives can be frustrating.
π justice for the Apple III
We see some of these things differently and I am ok with that. And many things can be true at once - I agree about the Apple II being a dead end. Jobs did contribute a lot, yes. Woz has spoken directly to his feelings in recent years. I am sorry we are not able to hear from Jobs also.
There are many narratives about Jobs from the people whose lives he touched, and he had many eras. But I think it's valid to suggest that his relationship with Woz in the early apple days was not reciprocal and had exploitative elements.
The Apple II Iine was designed and championed by Woz and subsidised all of Jobs' pre departure passion projects - Lisa, Macintosh - but was sidelined by Jobs en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_II
Jobs and Woz's work on Breakout (Jobs on the business side, Woz on engineering) is fairly well documented. Woz got a $350 of a $5,000 bonus that jobs kept secret from Woz. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breakou...
