With many Eurovision entries being LGBT, might this explain why no one wanted to entertain the idea of coming here next year?

Trans rights are human rights! ๐ณ๏ธโโง๏ธ Lover of videogames and fun stuff. ADHD, strong evidence for autism too (but trying to get screened as an adult is a brick wall...) Don't feed the trolls. (Maybe I should take my own advice sometime?)

And actually- if they voted like that (which they likely *did*- fascists ARE obsessed cultists like that) and STILL didn't win, that actually could say more to humanity than it appears.
I'm just. Pissed off by it.
Yeah, good point, hadn't thought about that. It's an awful situation either way, but at *least* that's most likely the truth of it.
I think the actual eurovision song contest enabling genocide by including Israel airing right after changed the intended message, especially with the awful results.
I don't think that was the intent, but that's totally fair if it missed the mark. I just read it as "trauma can mess you up and make you be a bad person if you're not careful, don't let cruelty in." Felt like some stuff I'd noticed recently.
Same, I was having to reread *very* carefully and check the account for context, was ready to rage. ๐ซฉ I hate how living in the UK (/world in general) just primes you to be on the defensive and expect attacks, especially when it's a true post that just directly applies to me ๐ฎโ๐จ๐ณ๏ธโโง๏ธ
The point was that he was having a traumatic breakdown due to his own history, and immediately hates himself for it when he snaps out, and everyone around him is rightly terrified of/judging him for it- the episode absolutely frames him as the monster in that moment.
But yes- Free Palestine 100%
I regret watching it now. I actively boycotted the one that took place in Israel, and hadn't watched it since until tonight. I convinced myself it'd be ok since I was sure the public would vote them dead last and teach a lesson. Fuck me for having faith in humanity, I guess.
I continue to be so disappointed by this country.
Am sharing here a thread I wrote on twitter last year about what I could then see from evidence, whistleblower and contemporaneous, about deaths by suicide of young trans people on the waiting list. ๐งต
Yeah, I totally understand that. It's really hard to resist that urge sometimes.
Wes Streeting is suppressing the publication of a report that would show that what he's doing to trans kids has increased the suicide rate
Scandal upon scandal
I've been doing that obsessively on all of my accounts, though- that's what I liked best about this platform. It's really weird how this happened to everything but my main general account, there's a storm of nastiness around my niche ones. I definitely don't see much of it on this account?
It's weirdโ I'm not seeing it really now since jumping back to this main accountโ my small side-accounts I've been on for the past few days were drowning in it causing awful mental health daysโ but now I'm questioning it? Do the algorithms change things that much on an account by account basis?

Kind of amazing how nakedly dishonest are Wes Streeting's lot when it comes to suppressing data on young people taking their own lives in consequence of the withdrawal of gender affirming care. ๐คฏ๐งต
It's definitely a good one for rewatches (it's so intricately made- you notice more and more each time), and a worthy member of the trio for sure.
All Westminster political parties: "Why have we been banned from pride?"
This โฌ๏ธ is why. It's also why so many of my friends have left the country, and I'm looking to leave as well.

Here's a link to my blocklist of exactly those people if you're interested-
That's the best thing to do with them, and I have an extensive blocklist of them, so they're not my problem on here (directly, at least)- it's more that the general vibe's taken a downturn- likely still BECAUSE of people generally being more miserable and having shorter fuses due to them though.
I hope I'm wrong. I'm starting to hate it when I'm right.
Now though? I think this might be becoming a frog in slowly boiling water situation.
I'm not saying there's much better- but maybe the format is just not conducive to humanity? Maybe it brings out the worst in us?
I think... Bluesky might be turning bad. Like pre-el*n twitter bad (not post, thankfully.)
Something's gone sour in the vibe, recently- lots more snarkiness and casual bullying.
I used to describe this place as "hopescrolling".
The EHRC are really going to try and rush this through
Remember when they forced us to have 3 whole consultations on the GRA Reform because the result kept supporting reforming it?
We are going to have to be so intense about this. Completely flooding it and also fighting against them rushing it
Thanks :) ๐ซ
Call the legislating trans people out of public spaces/life what it is- segregation.

Thanks, and yeah- it sucks. Hope that didn't come off too rude before, just... tired of all this, and I know we all are.
She's not retiring from politics, she's stepping down from being leader to being MP, and I literally only just learned that in this thread (and checked it myself for accuracy upon hearing it).
I still think that "tr*mp derangement syndrome" describes THEM to a tee, not us- to the point that I genuinely thought it referred to m*ga people at first, and got genuinely confused by them throwing it at everyone who ISN'T them, rather than the other way around. Deranged by tr*mp is ALL m*ga are.
Oh, that sucks. We need at least one party to have at least one decent leader.
