Thank you kindly. I was immediately drawn to this rock and the tide happened to be just at the right height. In other wordsβ¦mostly luck :)

Congrats Christoph!
Thanks a bunch Christoph! Just a matter of luck for this one
Thanks Armand π
Some light breaking through in Yosemite Valley
What drama! These are beautiful
Thank you kindly Rumyana
Thank you!
The irony is that I typically approach photography as if Iβm shooting film. I have to admit though, that I enjoy the digital benefits with scenes like this. Thank you Jonathan
Thanks! Patience is a key factor.
This sandstone was beautiful enough on its own but I wanted to wait for the tide to come in to tell more of a story of how it was formed. After about 150 exposures, I landed on this one.
Iβm glad you see that as well Bob! Thank you
Never saw it like that but youβre right!
Thank you Bob, Iβm glad that first thought came to mind
Thank you kindly Christoph!
3 limpets caught in a swirling sandstone vortex
Glad you see the face Paul ;)
It does now that you mention it! Thank you Marv, I lucked out with the soft light
Thanks Sophieβ¦the deader the better :)
A beautifully weathered Eucalyptus stump with some very unique grain structure. Iβve revisited this particular stump a handful of times and there is always something new to discover.
Nice, I can see that!
Thanks so much :)
Very painterly feel with this image. Definitely would love to visit one day. You seem to have quite an extensive body of work from this part of the world. Well done
Thanks so much Christophπ
Many thanks Sophie! Itβs such a fascinating subject
My mistakeβ¦I suppose Sierra is already plural ;)
Many thanks Rain! The coastline is such a fun spot for me. Yes lots of much needed snow in the Sierras as well!
Thank you Paul, appreciate the listenβ¦Iβm always so nervous when I camera is pointed at me
Iβve photographed this one particular section of coastal tafoni many times before, but loved the added dimensionality that the rain gave this scene.
Thanks so much Christoph! π
