hey @wmata.com why has the performance been so bad on the C25/C26 routes lately? I’ve had multiple ghost busses on the tracker (including just a few minutes ago) and the headways have often been double or tripled that advertised in the “better” bus network.
News: Ward 4 Councilmember Janeese Lewis George has started telling people she’s running for mayor, per several sources, confirming months of speculation about her political future.
She’d be the first major candidate to declare for 2026. Now the question: what will Bowser do?
Anyways long way of saying I miss old twitter where at least a few cool folks would see and interact with your post, versus this site which feels like a void.

Learned that an anonymous outside expert on submersibles did an interview with the OceanGate Titan investigation, and they released a transcript, with all the names redacted. The first line of his first answer? "I'm sure you're familiar with my film Titanic."

As expected, today President Trump signed an executive order that does two things:
- Pushes for more local crimes to be charged federally and for pretrial detention to be used more aggressively.
- Withhold federal funding from D.C. if the city maintains it's cashless bail policy.
