Yes, social media. Not that I take special pictures, but I also see that the pictures that are important to me get the fewest likes. That's what I call the "inverse law of photography". Zero likes can be seen as a special honour 😏

I am as sad about it as you are. Bought almost 100 packs of the last FP100C and FB3000B batches, and the remainig stock deteriorates. To my view, the main cause of this desaster are the photographers who lack curiosity and do not want to invest work or money for an image. Digital meets that.

Unfortunately, that is not what most people care about. Fuji could be the only game in town for these valuable tear apart films, but obviosly they do not see more than a niche market for these. Money rules.

Paulownia Tomentosa / Bluebell Tree Seed Capsules. Black and white large format photography. This is the first image in my series ‘Nature’ featuring botanical objects. The project was realised in collaboration with the Friends of the Badenweiler Spa and Castle Park Association. I worked on this series for over a year, taking one 8x10 inch film shot every day. The series was exhibited in 2010 as prints on canvas in the Kurhaus and in the Badenweiler thermal baths, as well as cyanotypes in Hecklingen Castle. More images from this series can be found on my website https://ewaldvorberg.de/homepage/albums/portfolio/nature/ This image fundamentally changed my photography. I learned a lot about light and technical cameras through this series. Ultimately, it also led to portrait and nude photography becoming my most important areas of work. All images in these areas were taken after 2011. ‘Paulownia Tomentosa’ is therefore by far the most important image I have ever taken.

When it is cold and windy, I often take off my jacket to get at least an idea how the model feels. I never force it anyway, but this model is very tough indeed.

Das habe ich bei diesen Nachrichten auch gedacht. Aber als dann vor ein paar Tagen in den Nachrichten stand, dass wieder tausende demonstriert haben, dann sind das um Grössenordnungen zu wenig als dass es etwas bewirken könnte.
