I have been doing this a long time (A Long Time™) and I can never recall this happening. The 2018 US Open famously had four (you may recall the one that wasn’t, perhaps) and even *that* was a rarity.

Do you mean in the context of making match assignments, or working the tournament in general? Officials apply to work the event, and then the chief umpire (designated/selected by the tournament) coordinates on-court assignments and evaluations during the event.

A cool footnote on this tournament that I would be remiss to not tell you: All five of the finals at Roland Garros this year have been umpired by women.
