The federal National Science Foundation - biggest funder of non-medical science in America - has been shut down. Presumably funding to Trump-approved science will eventually resume... at some point.

If enough Republicans join the minority Democrats, they can stop the President's crippling new tariff taxes. Call your Senators and Congresspeople to demand they act. Before the American economy is completely crashed.
The President imposed tariffs on geographic locales *that have no people*. Because he and his team were too incompetent and reckless to even notice some of the "countries " they imposed tarrifs on, only exist as legal designations, and have no actual residents.
The President imposed massive new taxes on everything from almost everywhere, based on a made-up formula. And you get to pay it.
Call your Senators and Congressmen to demand they force Trump to go through Congress to impose these crazed new taxes. Or impeach him for violating the Constitution.
"Move fast and break things." And people. And countries.
The point isn't to engage in rounds of futile rhetorical dancing with the apologists for tax cuts for the wealthy and slashing services to everyone else. The point - as my posts try to focus on - is on practical action.
