This course is incredibly helpful, inspiring me to think of new creative ideas in the classroom. Highly recommend! @cinehead.bsky.social storytelling-with-purpose-learning.thinkific.com/1qb4n

I am teaching a new high school class next year - Medical Microbiology -- what do you think I should include? Does anyone have great resources? π¦
I put together a digestive enzyme design lab for high school anatomy students -- www.bulbapp.com/u/digestive-... #anatomychat

I am loving these 30 High School Learning Activities! Great for any teacher using Apple products, they have iPad and Mac activities across a variety of subject areas. #EDUsky #AppleEDUsky #AppleEducationCommunity
Me immediately adding this to my end-of-semester reflection for next week!!! Great question! #EduSky
two images of sheep brains that have been annotated by a student to point out important structures and lobes
Love using photo mark-up to show understanding of dissections π π§ #anatomy
I encourage anyone who can attend to jump online for @kellycroy.bsky.social talk this Thursday about Empowering Student Wellness with iPad.

We use Canva for everything!! They submit them to me through our LMS Schoology β here are some other examples

I use Canva for everything lol - but yeah, Canva has great bumper sticker templates too #EduSkyChat
two examples of blue bumper stickers students created about endocrine disrupting hormones
I also like using bumper stickers as exit tickets - whats your one take away from todays lesson - but as a bumper sticker for your car #EduSkyChat
photos of three students with labels of directional terms included
A2: Photo mark up is a favorite of mine in my anatomy class - show what you know in a creative way #EduSkyChat
example screenshot of several notebook pages over the nervous system
A1: I create digital journals for my students to use to take notes in on their iPads-- I think it helps guide them on how to take good notes and condenses the content to exactly what they need #EduSkyChat
I like the idea of fake Netflix trailers -- that could be fun! #tlap
yeah the sensors were a grant-funded thing -- but there are uv beads that do the same thing - not very scientific but could be a good hook into discussing things :)
student examples of sweat gland personifications
A3: Love personifications -- taking what they have learned and bringing it to life - these are personified skin cells and sweat glands #tlap
so fun - saved!!! #tlap
A2: One of my favorites from last year was to recreate a popular song using AI BUT make it neuron themed...and then review for errors - they also found another AI that would sing it for them π #tlap
A1: I do a question of the week for the kids to answer when the come in -- always draws their attention to the board because they want to see what everyone else wrote - this week -- something unusual that you are thankful for...so far we have ducks, fuzzy blankets, hair ties, skittles, etc. #tlap
We did a quick design lab with the skin about UV - using Pasco sensors to measure UVA/UVB exposure -the results were fun - for ex: RayBan sunglasses were no better at blocking UV than $3 Walgreens ones-we ended with more questions than answers, but to me, that's a good day in science :) #AnatomyEDU
two student examples of project - building a neuron out of candy next to the final poster project created in Canva
Build the neuron and then tell its story - fun to combine physical and digital into one assignment - loving the AI features in Canva to get the purr-fect images π± #AppleEDUSky
These are really great - if I were allowed to teach this in my Anatomy class, I would use them!! I love hexagonal thinking!
Using #ChallengeBasedLearning to recognize Heritage Months. #AppleEducationCommunity #LibraryofCongress

A1: Turn off all the alarms - sleep and more sleep #EduSkyChat
It's so fun finding all my old "friends" here!!! #EduSkyChat
Jodie from Dallas - Anatomy and Physiology teacher and school garden coordinator - happy to see edu chats making a comeback π #EduSkyChat
A3: fuzzy blankets for me - this is actually the question of the week for my students for next week β based on my own childβs kindergarten response many years ago π
