I hear a lot of people saying that ai makes art accessible.. well I personally think that's bullshit- so I made this to drive my point home.

Last week, I sat down for some two hours during an official ANet stream to update an old unfinished piece of mine. And to my own surprise, it's going great! Hope to finish this one sometime this year.

Teenage charr anatomy is funky.

Four years ago I woke up at 5 am from distant explosions. I asked my boyfriend if he heard them too, he said he didn’t and I should go back to sleep. I tried to calm myself down, went on the internet, it was silent, no news or explanations.

I think I understand. It is quite a treat to feel texture of paper and paint consistency after daily digital art work.
Thank you and have fun as well o7

Aaaaw, such a beautiful piece. Your brushwork and colors are amazing. I've started with traditional paints and art like yours is great inspiration and motivation 🎨❀️

Chronicles of Taldun: The Longing on Steam A kinetic novel about two magi learning how to live with the burden they each carry. Explore Taldunβ€” a world of dark magick and primordial beings with unfathomable power. Follow a mysterious phenomeno...

Chronicles of Taldun: the Longing Update:
We are at 120k words now.
The story is about 70% done. So I'll probably write it to 180k, then edit it back down to 120k. That's a lot of baby-killing. (Writer's lingo, no actual babies will be harmed.)

I did both art and graphics, and it was so much fun. It would mean the world if you could take a look and share.β™‘

The gameplay was not for me. I love the visuals, art, animation, story is amazing (last part I played was Umbra's story?) even the combat was fun. But the repetitiveness and me not being to keep up with all the grind made me to give up on it sadlyπŸ˜”

That leaves a lot of space for interpretation, which is good. I admit I was a bit of a weird player because I was not really that interested in collecting different frames. I clicked with Oberon and played only with him. And that helped me to be more open to "they are their own person"

And not weird at all. I was nicely surprised to open bluesky today and see all the interactions with the warframe art πŸ’œ Thank you again.

I would call it wasted opportunity to have a friend (or whole group of friends) our Tennos can share their space adventures with. Plus it was fun to come up with backstory of my Oberon frame. Though I admit that my HC was that not all Tennos think about their frames as feeling and thinking beings πŸ€”

Is it? I would expect ppl to embrace that (no pun intended) after we learn what warframes are 🀨But I haven't play the game or interacted with the community for ages.
Also thank you for you comments. I am happy the art gives you joy.

Thoughts about β€œAI”
Yes it’s:
The slop
The theft
The brainrot
The loss of work
The crumbling of creator rights
The destroying of the environment and infrastructure
But it's also the destroying of trust in anything that you’re not seeing with your own eyes right in front of you.

Wonder now turned to the narrowing of eyes in immediate scepticism seeing something magical.
Questioning the realness of everything from a stilted written apology to profound works by students in school.
It feels like a slow poison to creativity and humanity at large.
[At the bottom is a doodle of me, mouth a thin line, looking at the viewer]

Dude I'm not even a NSFW artist and I think it in all its forms should have a place here because there is no way in hell some mod or 3rd party auto solution is gonna ever get it "right".

People can already curate their feeds and they have some moderation tools, who is all that stuff really harming

Art is supposed to sometimes be uncomfortable to the viewer. I don’t want to live in a world were we’re not allowed to explore difficult topics.

Artists feel pressured to make new art too quickly at the moment. Normalise artists fucking disappearing for months. Just walk off into the woods for a year and come back with a single sketch. It’s good for you

People capable of loving some paintings or etchings or whatever can rarely do this without knowing something about the art-ist. Again, the situation is social rather than scientific. Any work of art is one halt of a conversation between two human beings, and it helps a lot to know who is talking at you. Does he or she have a reputation for seriousness, for sincerity? There are virtually no beloved or respected paintings made by persons of whom we know nothing. We can even surmise a lot about the lives of whoever did the paintings in the caves underneath Lascaux, France.
So I dare to suggest that no picture can attract serious attention without a human being attached to it in the viewer's mind. If you are unwilling to attach your name to your pictures, and to say why you hope others might find them rewarding to look at, there goes the ballgame right there. Pictures are famous for their human-ness and not their picture-ness.
There is also the matter of craftsmanship. Real picture lovers like to "play along," so to speak, to look closely at the surface to see how the illusion was created by nothing but an unusual human being, with hands and eyes. If you are unwilling to say how you made your pictures, there goes the ballgame a second time.
Good luck, and love as always
K

Kurt Vonnegut’s definition of what makes something β€œart” is one of my favorites I’ve seen - from a letter to his brother in 1995.
