Great meeting with Assemblymember Brian Cunningham and @ppgreaterny.bsky.social @ppesacts.bsky.social to discuss funding for all of the types of care that Planned Parenthood provides. #FundCare.
Ahead of our #DayofAction, weβre breaking down our NYS budget priorities. π£
NY committed $25M for medication abortion and later pregnancy care, but providers havenβt received the funds. The FY27 budget must continue this investment and ensure it reaches providers.

As federal threats put gender-affirming care at risk, New York must meet the moment.
We urge passage of the Gender-Affirming Care Access Program (A8841/S.7924) to protect patients and providers.
We wonβt stop fighting to safeguard care in NY.

Read it again if you need to: EVERYONE is welcome at Planned Parenthood health centers. π
Men rely on Planned Parenthood health centers for essential health care, too: STI testing and treatment, cancer screenings, wellness exams, birth control, and more.
βDefundingβ Planned Parenthood takes away care from everyone.

The Family Planning Grant supports care for low-income and underinsured New Yorkers but faces rising costs and federal threats. A $15M increase is critical to protect access statewide.

Ahead of our #DayofAction, weβre breaking down our NYS budget priorities. π£
Abortion access funding has stayed flat at $25M despite rising costs and growing need. The FY27 budget must increase RFEP to $30M and continue $1M for NYAAF, which covered $2M+ in care in 2024.

π¨Hereβs your #NationalCondomWeek reminder: If you have vaginal, anal, oral, or manual sex (like fingering or fisting) with anyone else, π£οΈuse a condom, dental dam, or a finger cot to prevent STIs and pregnancy.

Ahead of our #DayofAction, weβre breaking down our NYS budget priorities, one quickie at a time. π£
NY stepped up with $35M to backfill the federal Medicaid defund and protect patient access. The FY27 budget must sustain this funding.
Honor the commitment. Fund care.

This Black History Month, weβre uplifting the words and wisdom of Black women who have shaped and continue to lead movements for justice, care, and liberation.
We recommit to showing up in solidarity and to fighting until Black communities can get the care they need and deserve, now and always. π§΅

Bodily autonomy does not end with a diagnosis.
This new law gives terminally ill New Yorkers the option, never the obligation, to ease unbearable suffering and make their own decisions at lifeβs end with dignity, compassion, and peace of mind. π
Attacks on abortion are attacks on public health. Full stop.
Bottom line: The budget includes important investments, but more work remains.
We look forward to working with Governor Kathy Hochul and the Legislature to build on this progress and strengthen access to reproductive health care across New York.

β οΈ Funding for key programs like the Reproductive Freedom & Equity Program, Reproductive Health Care Improvement Program + Family Planning Grants, saw no increase despite federal uncertainty.
Increased funding will strengthen access to care in NY.
