My friends are slowly convincing me to self-publish another book this year. Swore I wasn’t gonna do it, that I would stick to querying for the time being, and now I’m tryna figure out if I can fit it in the budget. Maybe another Kickstarter would help?? 🤔
I don’t write to escape. I write to understand—why life hurts, why it matters, and what love could look like if it’s safe.
I write love stories because I don’t know how to write endings that don’t leave space for hope.
Has anyone been able to stop listening to the Kpop Demon Hunters soundtrack? Because I have not. I’m powering the Honmoon for everyone at this point.

Every query rejection I’ve gotten lately has mentioned that they love my writing, but it doesn’t fit their list. So if any literary agents are searching for a second chance romance with meddling best friends, a slow, slow burn, inspired by Happy Place by Emily Henry, hit me up. I got a banger.

Not feeling inspired at all to write lately, and I’m leaning into this period of rest by recharging in other areas of my life. It’s okay to not constantly be producing!! My best work has come from stepping away from the computer for a while, I can’t force a masterpiece to appear 🤷🏻♀️ #writingcommunity

Life is funny, one minute I’m checking query tracker, the next I see a post in the comments that leads me to sign up for a live feedback panel of literary agents to potentially have my query critiqued in front of other authors. I’m scared but oh well! Growth only happens outside of the comfort zone.
You know how I said you guys might not cry reading my new book? Yeah well, for whatever reason I decided to read it cover to cover today and I want you to know, I lied. I cried 😂 Promise it is still a rom-com! (I think)

Got two more query rejections today. So if anyone needs me I’ll be listening to Taylor Swift on repeat and channeling these complicated feelings into my next book. Meanwhile here’s more content from the book I’m sending to agents!!!!
After having the chance to attend Emily Henry’s release night virtual chat with Kennedy Ryan, I feel renewed as a romance author. Idk man, something about seeing two of the greatest to ever do it, loving on each other & speaking about how wonderful romance is, just did something to me!!!
When literary agents ask more than just the standard questions in their query tracker forms I gently crack my knuckles before excitedly yapping about myself in 100 words or less. (As a Leo, this is where I shine!!!)
He’s a 10 but he convinces you to go snowboarding & you’ve never been so you wipe out hard and hurt yourself & he freaks out and takes you back to his cabin to take care of you leading to a steamy ALMOST make out in the bathroom that leaves you reeling #amquerying
I swear my readers can sense when I need a pick me up & then they come through with the nicest compliments about my writing that keep me going 😭😭 I seriously would have given up forever ago if it weren’t for them.
