One of my favorite finds last summer was this chrysomelid beetle that was eating all of my Penstemons. I believe this is Kuschelina barberi (Blake). I had not noticed them in previous years but in 2024 they showed up in high numbers, sometimes having hundreds of larvae on a single plant.
