When Tumblr banned porn, I deleted everything on my 18+ account. A few days later my entirely SFW account was banned.

Restricting the expression of sexuality through fiction and art made by adults, for adults – including those you find personally disturbing or offputting – is conservative censorship, full stop. When that censorship disproportionately affects subgroups, that's also discrimination. For shame.

Do NOT believe the misinfo going around

There absolutely have been MASSIVE TOS updates

Most notably:

1) Specifying no FICTIONAL noncon
2) No "dangerous" kink
3) No DISCUSSING self harm, suicide, or substance abuse unless its "educational"

One reason why I came to bsky from Instagram was that I was tired of only posting sfw drawings and if I didn't, I'd get shadowbanned or worse...

Here we have a nice thing called "labels", so every time I click on "show" I consent to viewing nsfw.

i'm against the new TOS because no matter how uncomfortable you are with certain subjects, it's very easy to see how bad-faith interpretations of art could be weaponized, especially against marginalized artists, who are more likely to be targeted for harassment

and really, I do not believe that everyone needs to "get weirder now," or that everyone needs to "make more nsfw," etc. what I do believe, however, is that everyone should look to those already making that work and sit in dialogue with them. support their work, substantiate their humanity.

you can spin literally any sexual image as noncon or dubcon if someone dislikes you enough and wants your account banned. that will only be used as another tool ppl can use for harassment, not keeping blsky a sexually safe space
