Day 7 of Seven Wonders Week, and we are finally at our last Ancient Wonder of the list, the Lighthouse (or Pharos) of Alexandria! Once one of the world's tallest man made structures, it was rebuilt and repaired many times, until it was severely damaged by three earthquakes and got abandoned. 🔥🔽
But I think that using "colossus" is fitting name for such giant constructs? I guess it's colossi as plural? 😜
True that, it is overall easier to use words that help define something similar from mythology. Interestingly enough while on giant metal men. Talos, is not considered "colossus" apparently, mainly because originally 8ft tall. Popular media again, made him gigantic.
