I wanted to create a piece that evokes serenity and calm. Something hopeful. A dove captured in glass, paired with magical garden quartz and iridescent mother of pearl. The two little birds perched above the quartz were created with a vintage jewelry die.

I’ve been working on a series of dove portraits. The backdrop is textured copper brushed with black underglaze that was then encapsulated with clear enamel. Layers of mason stain were used for the dove.
