I spend as much time as I can in the wilds of the PNW. I love to learn about biology and virology. Living with #LongCovid

Sweden did not implement lockdowns so they had earlier mass infections. Their data likely reveal a preview for the rest of us.

I’ll be curious to see your next graphs from Finland.

Thank you for your work.

(Since the viral parameters and lack of mitigation protocols are the same in all countries, I tend to consider the graphs of your work to generalize more or less globally.)

Yes. Thank you. I understand the relevant geography.

Is it reasonable to assume that the stats coming from Sweden are likely representative of other countries, especially one that shares a border?

Senator - please. We NEED to have Nuremberg trials.

And, we need to be realistic. We probably do not have the rule of law capacity to achieve justice, given then existence of the pardon power.

Please begin making plans to rendition people to The Hague for trial.

I'm 100% serious.

The article suggests the increase in the number of bodies is due to equipment failures in 3 of 4 crematoriums. There is no mention of increased viral infections.

Is there more to this story that you are aware of?

Do you believe this body backlog is evidence of what your graphs are showing?

AI can now identify anonymous sources just by a writing sample. So if these complaints from inside the military are authentic, a manipulated version would be prudent.

Some trusted journalists are needed to vet these claims. They definitely seem like they could be made up for profit.

This is performative misogyny. It’s also true that Noem is a disgusting puppy killer.

She’s only been allowed visibility so she can be disciplined publicly as an example of how women should be treated by these idiotic fascists.

He doesn’t really care about the puppy.

Let's meet Micromelo undatus, also called "miniature melo", a species of "bubble shell" sea snail.

She's got a little art deco backpack!

These snails live in shallow waters at locations around the world (Hawaii, South Africa, Japan).

And I’m just delighted to hear the suggestion that we may have a full decade before AMOC collapses. But I have trouble anticipating the time scales now that the feedback loops have begun so suddenly to diverge from linearity. But it seems to me that the chaos has begun in earnest.

This is my understanding as well. The arctic destabilization is a very temporary result of the rising temperatures.

Basically, the arctic regions are breaking down.

This is fucking wild. An AI agent that has its own blog (wtf) is compiling information on an engineer and publishing articles to intimidate and harass him.

A four-panel comic titled "how to get into nature". In panel 1, a person kneels in the woods, looking down at a red-backed salamander, and the text says "notice a living thing." In panel 2, the text says "notice some other things that live near it," and there's a starflower, springtail, ant, little wood satyr butterfly, and salamander on the leaf litter. In panel 3, covered in creatures, plants, and a colorful starburst, the text says "Notice the connections between them, discover the wider ecosystem, learn about its histories, and find yourself following links from bedrock to stratosphere, between biotic and abiotic, at scales both microbial and massive, until you’re hopelessly overwhelmed by the wonder of it all." In panel 4, the text says "Fall into a daze and let moss engulf you." The person from the first panel is still kneeling in the woods, looking happy as moss slowly engulfs them, and they're saying "This is for the best."
