I cannot overstate the peace of just copying sketches again.
No frustration of making the gesture pose and failing, all the thinking done for me by the original artist (Shinkawa in my case)
just turning the brain off for a while, yet still hopefully reinforcing good habits

Sometimes I wonder if I'm getting better or not. I'm definitely getting slower, and I hope that's because I'm seeing more and doing more on each.

Then I see how much more detail I've put into Lanz' and Taion's heads compared to Mio's, and I'm happy to keep plodding on and trust the process.

I wouldn't have been much older than that myself
