Christmas 🎄 is already in the air!
We teamed up with all other groups from the dentistry clinic 🦷 and set up our booth at the local craft bazaar ✂️ to raise money for a good cause ✨
We are had a very successful evening of coming together with all coworkers of the clinic for something important.

If anything this review is literally Murenu, Mussoni et besties, as it was written in collaboration with many students from our collaborative research center CRC #TRR225 #Biofabrication.

Bioprinting organs: science or fiction?
Finally online a broad and comprehensive snap shot of where we're at but also a glimpse and bet into the future with the particular perspective of phd students working on it every day.

Definitely go read this nice work from my colleagues Sven, Zan and Lys about printing fiber bundles for anisotropy. This work spawned within the Collaborative Research Center TRR225 #Biofabrication and is a great example of joining forces with materials, processes and biology.

Back from #ISBFWarsaw2025, what a fantastic time I had this week
I couldn't imagine a better way to conclude my phd journey in the #Biofabrication family than this.
I am grateful to the ISBF for granting me the IOP Best Poster Award at #Biofabrication2025.

Today I presented my work on bioassembly via MEW scaffolds in the Rapid Fire Talk session early this morning.
Very honoured my abstract was selected and I could show more of what I'm up to.

In 3 days I'll be at #Biofabrication2025
in Warsaw to present my poster on MEW as a tool for bioassembly of spheroids for thyroid in vitro models that was also selected for a Rapid Fire Talk!
See you on Sunday and Monday at the poster or on Tuesday early morning at the talk!

This study explores the fabrication of nanofibrillar scaffolds through the melt electrofibrillation of polycaprolactone to guide myogenic differentiation. The scaffolds provide nanofibrillar cues that promote cell organization and integration, mimicking key features of the ECM

we are back from a very successful retreat!
great opportunity for networking, team building and think of the future.
the main topic we addressed were the rise of AI, data management, career options and a refresher on FMZ values at the chair. but also lots of fun and good food!

we fine tuned an artificial membrane to replicate the glomerular filtration barrier and support the co-culture of endothelial cells and podocytes. To further enhance maturity we 3d printed a bioreactor to add flow to the artificial barrier.
we could show selective fitration, monolayer and fenesrae
