Librarian, crafter, dungeon master. Hard of hearing/hearing aid cyborg. I post too many photos of my cats. Member of @peculiarityshop.bsky.social. I post lots of sweaters to @knitsonfilm.bsky.social. she/her or they/them
King Lear for sure.
I'm building "beginner" #Commander decks to teach teens at the library. So far, I have Plagon (alt wincon), Balmor (combat tricks), and Geist of St. Traft (combat). Working on Lazav Dimir Mastermind (mill), Gisa and Geralf OR Grimgrin (zombies), Anje Falkenrath (madness, vampires). #MTG
I also had someone once reply to this story and say horses can't vomit so I guess that's an extra layer of bizarre, as I've experienced first hand they 100% can vomit
Yes! It's definitely one of the most bizarre things that has ever happened to me. I was at the UC Davis horse barn, and one of the horses opened his mouth and essentially let out a fire hose of carrot onto my legs. After a brief moment of shock I started laughing because what else to do?
A horse vomited on me
I've become gay QVC.
In another lifetime I was a musician. I played bassoon and bass guitar. The director at one musical theater company kept hiring me, and one day I asked why me? There were better bassists in the area, for sure. She said, "you always show up on time."
I deleted the Instagram app over a month ago because I realized I was getting too much advertising and it was too easy to doomscroll for hours. This reporting only confirms why I won't redownload it.
(we named him after that Charals because our cat Shimmy has a crush on him)
A fluffy tabby cat lying down on an outdoor mat. He looks very comfy.
One of the cats I look after is Charals, a TNR'd community cat. He is friendly but also has some feral behaviors. Today though, he wants to be painted like one of your French girls.

To me they are perfect
The best reporting I've seen on this to date. What is happening to this rural library system, where I worked for five years, it's a tragedy. The admin is incompetent AND the oversight is incompetent. bit.ly/4u6iz84
Even if you just learn to fingerspell, you can communicate emergency info, navigation, etc. It's really not that difficult and could make an enormous difference.
this is not about sports, this is about erasing every trans person from public life and forcing them to detransition or worse, driven by people who would prefer the latter
this is what every “just asking questions” or “just following the science” concern troll leads to
Come on social justice-loving librarians, we want to celebrate you!!!
apparently today we get Jesse Singal in the New York Times with the "gender-affirming care is new & experimental" 🙃
A sign in page for WorldCat (search.worldcat.org). The text reads: Are you ready to unleash a world of knowledge and discovery? Sign in to WorldCat and unlock a treasure trove of library holdings, favorite your go-to libraries, and curate lists that fuel your curiosity.
What a shame that WorldCat now requires users to log in before they can interact with records. I like to send people to WorldCat when I reference a book, so they can find it at their local library. Unfortunately, Amazon doesn’t require a login—but now WC does.
This. OCLC does not want another Anna's Archive, plain and simple. As far as OCLC is concerned all those records belong to them, and they'll go to whatever lengths they deem necessary to keep it that way.
Lia asleep in bed with a grey and tan cat on her torso and legs, and an orange and white cat above her head on the pillow.
I often wake up with leg pain and I truly don't know how much is the fact that I injured my knee really badly in 2011, and how much is the fact that I sleep with help every night
Lia is asleep in bed, dimly light by blue and pink light. Their legs are jammed up against the edge of the bed, and next to their legs are two cats, one orange and white, the other grey and tan.
Leg room is a lie
Everybody welcome @emilytheslayer.bsky.social to the team. She'll be doing remote work listing our jewelz and perhaps grace you all with her crafts one day!

Let's try this again 👋
Hi Bluesky - I'm Massachusetts' Attorney General. You might know me from suing President Trump nearly 50 times, beating Uber and Lyft in court, or being the first woman of color elected to statewide office in MA.
I officially left X today - help me find my MA people?
Shimmy has actually not been on it yet!!
An orange and white cat sitting on wall shelving. He is lying down, rubbing his head on the shelf above him.
My partner got some help yesterday putting up shelving for my craft supplies. Yes, this is real love, when your partner makes you craft storage. Rumble the cat thinks it's pretty neat.
Today was supposed to be a workbench day but gravity and I are having a little bit of a disagreement today so instead I’m going to poke through the website and do a thread of Shinies What Haven’t Found Their Person Yet.
Perhaps one of them is looking for you! Or for somebody you know!
A screenshot from Pikmin Mobile game. Several characters are walking together. One of them looks like a large jagged rock with an open screaming mouth.
I do not personally know this person who made their Nintendo Mii into a rock monstrosity, but to me they are perfect
