I watched the 40 min Dolby interview with him and Damian Volpe. Seems like he understands and appreciates sound as much as any other aspect. Gave you a name check too!
I don’t remember any OS update ever making me think ’wow that was worthwhile’

Try the little coin shaped flat batteries CR2032 I think? if you want a smoother less textured sound

Kitchen Aid meets Festool?
Could be Dolby Stereo LtRt or LoRo?

I’ve been writing my own macros for a couple of years now and KM makes me more adventurous creatively - the time saved means you can try more ideas
I could only tolerate them with a teaspoon of curry powder mixed in
@jeremy-data.bsky.social does Lightroom have any manipulation tools for the actual images? Soundminer lets you pitch, process of FX or even has a Radium sampler add on which is really powerful too, apart from the cataloguing which justifies the price
I use Soundminer, which is the kind of industry standard in film and TV but pricey. There’s others too like Basehead and various subscription services, but Soundminer is the best IMO
Well thanks for the follows and hello to all the new arrivals - It’s very much like the other place was before the electric car idiot ruined it.
It’s still a warming thought that people are listening for 3hrs 40 mins to something you helped create, that the decisions made are absorbed by their perception. Even in the intermission
Geofon at the ready for this vent…
old driftwood is weirdly resonant, this tree trunk washed up on a river beach and dried by the sun for years sang and wobbled when dropped, then eventually split itself apart from its own weight. I guess the water/sap in new wood dampens it
Looks capable of going into orbit!
35mm? Looks like it from the height of the rollers. Fond memories of cutting 16mm on one of these at film school
I’ve taken to doing it at the end of a recording before I hit stop. If it doesn’t work for whatever reason, I just say ‘bollocks’ so I delete it, and otherwise annotate based on what happened, not what I think I’m about to record!
‘My, what big files you have.’
‘All the better for complex litigation’
‘Would you like to invest in my new law firm? Only $250 gets you a share, please send your bank details and we will make the transfer for you’
Does anyone know why Spacesuits have such terrible audio? This Space X sounds worse than 1969
Just installed an organic heat sink in my computer. Unpredictable results
One of the benefits/challenges of working from home is being able to work at weird times of the day. Who works better outside 9-5? I get loads done if I wake up and do 6-8am then have breakfast
