On of the most underreported aspects of this conflict is the level to which religious ideology is driving it.
If you scratch beneath the surface you very quickly see it is an ancient conflict dressed up as a modern one.
There is no off ramp other than total annihilation of the enemy.

It’s from the climatic scene of Tod Browning’s 1932 movie Freaks.

A melodrama set in a travelling circus. It is a challenging and controversial film, and truly disturbing.
Well worth a watch.

Apple TV's New Cyberpunk Show That Was Called 'Unfilmable' Is the Sci-Fi Event of the Decade One book-to-screen adaptation that was once thought impossible is finally coming to Apple TV next year--and we couldn't be more excited.

Not sure how I feel about this. Neuromancer is a foundational work of fiction for me. I found it in 1990 and have read it a dozen times since. I cannot imagine an adaptation that would work. Hopefully I’ll be disappointed.
