My wife and I were discussing "expression lines" on my face.
There are filters for that!

Man wearing FFP3 mask in a medieval building with a distinctive timber roof. A dragon is barely visible.
I'm about the right age to be a "longevity influencer", and focus on unusually long life or existence.
Interestingly, the building I am in is OLDER than the word "longevity".
But it's not as old as the word "virus".
Maybe longevity influencers will get around to viruses soon.
Man wearing FFP3 mask lying in a mock-MRI scanner.
Man wearing FFP3 mask reflected in glass, with an MRI scanner behind.
There's something BIG missing from the analysis.
Any guesses what it is?

I teach. I don't dress up for #WorldBookDay
I wear these every school day.
Unfortunately there are ways in which Bluesky is worse than X - identity verification is one example.
Are you checking X first, then using "regular" news to confirm?
Or are you checking regular news first, then checking X for things they haven't got to yet?

Geese win the #BRITs award for International Group of the Year.
People will be reluctant to use online services, or search for anything controversial.
I understand that is the point.
Regarding the photos, I'm trying to draw a distinction between the limited (if still somewhat alarming) surveillance done by shops, and the very concerning, near unlimited, chilling effect of digital ID.
It's awful that you are in that situation in Australia.
Thanks for sharing.
Supermarket checkout area. A man is being recorded on CCTV. He is wearing an FFP3 mask.
I'm interested in protecting children, which is why I oppose Digital ID.
"Age verification" means taking away your privacy, as well as your children's privacy.
Find out why your children need privacy online.

Man wearing FFP3 mask in a supermarket. Behind him is the word "limited"
My children use the internet, and digital ID makes them less safe.
We talk to them about their internet use. "Limited" is one way to describe their online life.
But they do watch a lot of short videos about politics.
I know that privacy will be important to them in the future.
Man wearing FFP3 mask in a supermarket. Behind him is the word "chilled"
I'm not really sure what is meant by a "leftist" or a "liberal".
I'm not sure if I would be considered a lefty or a liberal.
But it seems that leftists and liberals are pretty chilled about the threat to privacy that comes with so-called "age verification".
Man at a supermarket checkout, being recorded by a security device. He is wearing an FFP3 mask.
I like beer, and I like privacy.
I can buy beer without showing ID, because I'm old. But even if I did, the shop doesn't need to keep a copy of my ID.
Digital ID is not like using ID to buy beer.
I oppose Digital ID.๐งต
Of course not, but perhaps we can have some fun pointing this out.
I have no expertise that allows me to comment on a neurological mechanism that would allow this.
I have enough of a psychology background to suggest that people could be doing this to resolve cognitive dissonance.
LitCovid contains 479'424 pieces of research into the health effects of COVID.
That's a lot to digest.
I guess Michael finds it easier to pick on a handful of people.

First hearing for Illinois Right to Mask . SB3340 Kikiโs law. Needs witness slips before Feb 26. Anyone in the U.S. can help!
Protect our right to mask in healthcare situations!

This takes a minute to complete. You do not need to write anything unless you want to.

Man wearing FFP3 mask on a train.
The next photo on my camera has a LOVELY picture of my children on the train.
In case you want to know, yes, they are.
I know youโd much prefer to see that one, but I don't post my children online.
Because I want to protect my children, I oppose age verification online.
(Looking at you, Bluesky)

Forgot the alt text - out of focus photo of a man wearing an FFP3 mask in a railway station.
Sometimes I spend a long time crafting threads, and I wonder "Is it worth it?"
Let's see how this poorly focused, no filter photo at a railway station does on social media. Happy Friday!

Thank you for sharing, and for taking things seriously.
For various reasons, I can't usually offer people masks - certainly not in a doctors surgery, and definitely not while my son is around.
In the UK, people are almost completely unfamiliar with respirator masks - it's not an income thing here.
Thank you for masking.
Thank you for sharing.
That sounds great - it sounds like a good idea for the restaurant too.
Man wearing FFP3 mask in a doctor's waiting room.
The patient ahead of us wore a close-fitting black cloth mask. Similar in appearance to what my son was wearing, if not in quality.
People want to do the right thing.
The GP could have told her about good masks - FFP2; KN95
Health advice shouldn't be left to amateurs like us.
Thank you for taking things seriously.
We appreciate the fortunate position we are in. Thinking of you.
