Well said Neil Leitch from @eyalliance.bsky.social on highlighting the issues around funding and places in EYFS settings on BBC Breakfast this morning. This issue needs more of a discussion urgently.

If it's a difficult topic which really needs thinking about, you can rely on @daisychristo.bsky.social to do that. Great blog. (The irony is that I might be outsourcing my thinking here in a similar way to students using AI).

I don’t find many Maths picturebooks, so glad this one is so good.
“ZERO. The Number That Almost Wasn’t” by @sarahalbee.bsky.social and #ChrisHsu is a brilliant accessible romp through the history of Zero. Traversing the globe it explore how it didn’t and then did come to be…#PicturebookPage
Have just made a couple of tweaks to my list of picturebooks that could be used in assemblies. They all link to key dates and events, and promote diversity, inclusion and empathy. Please feel free to download and adapt. The link can be found here: padlet.com/Jon_Biddle/r...
I want to develop some training for primary colleagues around high-leverage challenge across the curriculum that deepens understanding: Inch wide-mile deep type stuff. Throw some amazing CPD, reading and research at me that I MUST incorporate. #educators

All well & good saying Ofsted have a lot of research from 2018/19 but schools/society now very different places. The challenges come thick & fast & pressure is relentless, wish they'd just pull the lever & make accountability process what it could & should be. Lower the stakes!!!

A year's worth of picturebook assembly suggestions that have a focus on diversity, equality, inclusion and empathy. Hopefully it's of use, even to just dip into occasionally. The link is here: padlet.com/Jon_Biddle/r... #edusky
This is just the thing I’ve been looking for 🙏 many thanks
Fab, thank you very much. Trying to get a storytelling assembly set up in my new school and searching for inspiration. Thank you 🙏
What books do people find good to lead whole school assemblies? Books with a moral message? Books that tackle issues? Books that promote values? Any/all thoughts appreciated. @schoolreadinglist.bsky.social @smithsmm.bsky.social (not sure who else to reach out to on here yet!)
Few days away for NY in the Yorkshire Dales 🐶🥾🍻🎉
Strongly recommended
Another decent book - a heavy read but very very good
Good for…
- how to build and manage teams
- the importance of diverse teams
- how to collaborate
- delegation (and why it’s important!)
… and other stuff!
I’m a big fan 👍
