I have tried to tell people there was very little blues in the blues brothers. I still loved the movie though
Blues for Jesse May, Solo Modelo (Universal Fire album is phenomenal) Des Moines is a small gig anthem for most of us! 4/20 blues and Train to Jackson are as good of Contemporary Folk music that has been made in the last twenty years, IMO.
If you are a songwriter he speaks to your soul.
