As before everyone is welcome, some of our rides are around the city, some are out in the countryside. And there's always a coffee stop along the way somewhere ๐

A few more pics from this year..
We cycle almost every weekend in all weathers, usually on the many trails in the area but sometimes quiet roads too, often visiting places like Fotheringhay castle, Everyone is welcome to join us for a quiet ride!

Feels good too!
Should have done this a long time ago really, get on and join everyone!
Over the years I've been able to vote I've always picked between Labour and Lib Dems, yesterday I joined the green party. The rest just seem to be different pages of the same old book now.
I don't use this place enough, forgot how much nicer it is here than the other (deleted) place!
Been here a year now already! Long may it last!
A couple good cycling weeks for me, last week, 75 miles commuting with a weekend ride.
Did my longest ride since January yesterday, 34 miles mostly off road and all pedal powered on the 29er, I'm now using the ebike just for commuting which it's great for!
5 months today since I was in hospital!
Absolutely!!
The rehab team have been fantastic, I definitely feel fitter now than before it all went wrong, I guess the signs were there when I felt really fatigued after a ride, thought I was just getting old though ๐
A great weekend for cycling, 27 miles Saturday, another 23 today! Feeling fitter than ever, cardio rehab is working really well for me!
Never thought I'd be back to 50 mile weekends back in January! I'm not fast and others do much more than that, but life is good right now!
#heartattacksurvivor
Bit of a milestone today for me, 21 miles on a normal pedal powered bike, feel like I'm really getting somewhere with my cardio recovery!
#feelinggood
Thanks ๐
Red Raleigh Max with a Generic kit, grey/blue Giant escape Swytch kit
Yes, the kit is doing great on an old 90s Raleigh max MTB, 41 miles of easy use and still two bars of battery left, so I'm ok with that, also recently converted a road bike with a swytch kit, similar battery mileage to it but a fair bit lighter overall so easier to handle ๐
Been a while since I posted here, now on day 95 of cardio recovery, back on the bike (ebike conversion for now!) small steps have taken me a long way so far, longest ride since that awful day in January is now 41 miles on good friday, regularly doing 25 milers too, loving life right now again!
Strangely around Peterborough, taxi drivers seem to be the better drivers around cyclists, granted theyre still the worst around other drivers, but overall I've had good experiences with taxi drivers while cycling here.
Day 58 of the cardio recovery, feel pretty good to be fair, the cardio rehab classes have been a fantastic help in showing me that I can carry on and it's not the end of being as active as I used to be! A change of job roles has been a massive help too and I still love it!
Happy weekend everyone!
Back to cycling ride today, the home built ebike is an absolute game changer for getting me out and about on two wheels again, a steady ride of just under 15 miles as a start, I've missed this so much ๐
I'm sure some people do run long distances, in the same way some people ride their bikes much further too, I'm not sure what your point is other than stating the bleeding obvious with a bit of childish insulting added too.
Really important news, spoilt manchild throws a tantrum because he doesn't get his own way. No wonder the parents don't want to give him anything ๐
That's fantastic, was only looking at doing something similar a few days ago!
Thanks!
Thanks, that's the plan! Boring as it is though!
Two weeks down and I'm getting a bit bored now, glad to be alive but I'm not good at being sat around! Spent an enjoyable afternoon with my grandson building Lego yesterday, and have a good friend who have picked me up for a walk round ferry meadows and a coffee. Anyone got any Netflix suggestions?
Thanks, I will do if it's offered, good to hear it's not the end of the road!
Thanks everyone, feel absolutely fine now I've had two stents fitted, all good, the first day of my recovery, feel a bit of a fraud though now I feel ok.
Papworth hospital staff are amazing!
Thanks, going to be taking all the medical advice I'm given!
Well shit, that's ballsed my weekend ride plans up, currently sat in Papworth hospital having had a heart attack!
Got to take it easy now for a bit ๐
No, of course not, you'll need a 2 ton metal overcoat to be able to do that, also where would you carry your fridge that everyone else needs in their car if you cycle everywhere?? ๐ค๐
