I may end up subdividing the chest belts just to be safe for clipping (multisculpt I love you for letting me use it to yoink everything out and then put it all back as individual so I can do tinier tweaks)

yeah like the belts on the back are a little fucked up but this is one where no one is gonna see and deal with it but me LMAO and much like wyra’s mch/shb which has a lot of belts and was upscaled by a pro I expect this to clip in some areas, belts are just mean

I know for me rn the hardest thing was upscaling over the breasts tbfh like I had to subdivide that undershirt to get it to work (did NOT have to subdivide the robe tho I was proud of me)

this is gonna be a private upscale for me because this is for wyra’s ancient but it does mean there will be some things I might release publicly in the future once I have more confidence, which I know is a crazy thing to say considering I picked smth insanely difficult for a first shot

okay time to finish this after I eat lunch… gotta fix some minor clipping into other parts of the outfit (the mask, the shoulder shawl) then get to all the technical stuff like UVs and skeleton… almost there!

The other cats of The Black Coeurl (the black coeurl kitten, fat cat, and Nagxian cat) all play in the background. Sawako's snake curls around Wyra's forearm watching this all unfold curiously.

Day 04 - Companion

Wyra stands looking out from one edge of her ship, The Black Coeurl, in the Cieldalaes, leaning against the rigging, spying something in the distance. She has a determined look on her face and her coat blows dramatically in the wind. Judging from her eyes and outfit, this is set during A Realm Reborn.

"Bring me that beloved horizon."

Day 03 - Calling

Top Panel: Wyra is receiving an echo vision -- of the future, perhaps? She is standing in a field with weapons and fire and a raging storm of meteors all around her as a great dragon towers above. A voice calls out to her, bringing her back to reality. Bottom panel: Wyra has her eyes closed, clearly suffering some sort of headache. She speaks. "Hm? Sorry love, spaced out there fer a tick."

Top Panel: Wyra looks up, a bit curious, a bit clueless. She does not seem particularly concerned, though. She continues talking "What were ya sayin'? Was it anythin' important?" Bottom panel: The voice that was calling to her earlier was A'djeah, the affluent Captain of the Golden Coeurl's daughter. She crosses her arms in irritation and seems guarded and annoyed. "It could have been, not that you seem to care all that much as of late."

Top Panel: Wyra rolls her eyes as A'djeah speaks, or rather, rants, as Wyra has now set her off. A'djeah says: ""Was it important?" Do you even hear yourself sometimes? One of these days I will have something to say that actually matters and you still won't be paying an onze of attention!" Bottom panel: Wyra is incensed now-- her tail swishing up in irritation. She just had a vision of the apocalypse and is now being accosted for not listening about what she perceives to have been gossip or fashion. She speaks. "Sorry, I just-- look, there's a lot more at stake right now than the sweet lil' day dates ya like an' how much attention yer gettin' lavished in. My mind's jus' been elsewhere. Maybe if ya paid any heed to the fact Garlemald's on our doorstep you'd understand that."

Top Panel: A'djeah looks tired, as if she's heard this before. She sighs. "That's not even..." she starts to say, but then decides to return Wyra's cattiness. Bottom Panel: A'djeah looks away, hurt and dejected. She speaks with scorn. "...You have this neat magic spell you've taught yourself. Your mouth opens, and my mother's voice comes out."

Wyra has lost more than she's won and she has the battle scars to prove it, but not all fights leave physical wounds...

It was funny opening up the old files and seeing how different my priorities were and how many basic mistakes I was making.

This sequence was my baby back then and I remember being so proud of it.
