Awesome! I might jump in during lunch, but will be lucky to exfil at all. Just because I work on these games doesn't mean I'm any good at them.

Happy Marathon launch day! This'll be the 5th? release I've been at Bungie for.
Social media created this nonsense idea that not exposing yourself to hatred is isolationist. Choosing to not spend your free time with bigots isnβt living in a bubble. I donβt need to know whatβs going on at X. I wonβt be smarter or more knowledgeable or empathic by being there. Neither will you.
Strange things are afoot at the Circle K
Getting rid of OpenAi is not the same as getting rid of AI. Iβm not getting my hopes up just yet.
Apparently being able to sit on the ground and get back up without using your hands is a sign of a good skeletal muscular system. I did it, but it was touch and go there both ways.
Is there a word for a feeling of nostalgia for something you've never experienced?
The first Blades in the Dark session 0 went well last night. Players made their scoundrels. They learned all about the cold cruel world that is Dokvol. There's another session 0 tonight for those that couldn't make last night's.
One of my spelljammer players has a kickstarter going for some minis and adventure. Super nice dude and amazing artist. These minis are so cute!

This is something I realized while reading the lore part of the book. This is a great setting and I need to remember to bring it to life while playing.
This is great. I get the feeling that the game works best when things are slightly (or more) out of control.
Sounds right up my ally. π
Might be starting a Blades in the Dark game soon. Iβve never run, or even played, it. Any advice?
Oh interesting. I've never played Shadowrun. Thanks for the rec.
So far my thoughts are:
- Blades in the Dark
- Mothership
- Delta Green/Nights Black Agents
- Eat the Reich/Never Stop Blowing Up/Outgunned (not so much team-based, but very episodic TV action show-like)
- Almost any superhero game
Been thinking about ttrpgs that would make good systems for a campaign where you don't always know who's going to show up. The important bits would be: a core team with a home base, team members go off on short missions with some kind of ending. Rinse, repeat each session with whoever makes it.
Guess I shouldnβt be surprised that Carcosa and the King in Yellow are things that exist in this book. Still having a good time with it.
Been reading Ashes of Onyx by @sskorkowsky.bsky.social. I'm still early into it, but liking it so far!
No D&D session last night so me and a couple players watched Pom Poko together on Discord. Wow. What a wild movie.
Oh nice. I played a bit of Heart too. I really like the way it makes you establish goals for your character. I wouldn't mind playing a longer game at some point.
I'm finishing up a long running 5e Spelljammer game and looking forward to playing a variety of shorter campaigns now.
So how was everyone's '25, rpg-wise? Play any new games? Finish any campaigns?
I experienced a bunch of new games through my work's rpg club. The one I was most pleasantly surprised by was Good Society. The way everyone establishes relationships is amazing.
Well itβs a new year. Itβs been about six months since I posted last. Every time I thought to between then and now I realized that I didnβt have anything interesting to say. I still donβt but maybe Iβll try harder to think of something.
Freedom from kings.

It has a very real chance of failingβand *even if it passes with changes* it still has to go BACK to the Senate to get voted on AGAIN. And it barely made it through the first time
This thing is way more killable than youβd think and the longer we can drag out the process the more killable it gets
Tell Congress: No billion-dollar handouts while they gut Medicaid, SNAP, and education. We see the crueltyβand we wonβt be silent.

About the current DriveThru drama, I understand the internet loves a good pile on but this isnβt it. Itβs headline rage. Nothing got βbannedβ. There are way more important things to focus on right now. Write your government reps about the crap being pushed through Congress right now instead.
Oura Ring report saying that I napped 26 times last year.
Gonna see if I can beat my record next year.
This @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social video is absolutely INCREDIBLE. The numbers he cites, the strategy and results they produced β itβs the future. When have you heard *any* campaign talk about this, ever? (Video split in 2 to fit in Blueskyβs limits)
