Thank you! I hope so! The suspense is killing me! Ha ha ha.
Thanks so much for playing Mythmatch!!
Best games of the demo rush, all will be day 1 purchases for me:
β’Agent 64: Spies Never Die
β’Forbidden Solitaire
β’Mythmatch
They all scratch different itches for me but I had so much fun with each. Highly recommend you check them out!
Surely your numbers were still better than mine, though. π
I hope so! I honestly just can't wait to see how it ends up doing at launch and how players respond to it. I'm getting so many mixed signals from so many places that I just want to know. Ha ha ha.
Nice! Congrats!! Amazing numbers for your consistently amazing games!
Here's our numbers, with the context of ~62k wishlists going in. Pretty happy overall, though nowhere near as effective as Crow Country's NF in 2024...
General takeaway is that the store page does pretty well at getting wishlists by itself (~20% conversion during NF), the demo less so but still OK!
Thank you, Steph! Can't wait to see it out in the wild. Hopefully others will enjoy it as much as you!
Yeah. I think I felt good then bad then good again! Ha ha ha. Indie dev is an emotional roller coaster.
I just meant even from this. You had 100 or so from demo plays and another 800 on top. Which is great!
Nice! Especially all the people who wishlisted outside of downloading the demo. Feels like that means people can understand what makes it cool without having to experience it, which doesn't seem to be as true with Mythmatch.
Duppy Detective Tashia's numbers.
I'm pleasantly surprised by the next fest performance.
Going in I was worried that it was too niche of an experience to really draw that many people in. But a fair number of people checked it out and they seemed to like!

No thank you. :P
Boo! You've given me an idea for something. Is it too late? Last minute change time?
Thank you!!
Were you by any chance a fan of the N64 controller? Classic 3-handed setups! Ha ha.
The question is if I do this last playthrough with the default controls to experience what most players will experience. Hmm....
Basically, the default controls will let you play one-handed so you can use keyboard and mouse. But I never use the mouse personally (even though there's pretty robust support for it) and would rather have one hand for movement and one for actions.
Mythmatch settings with big red arrows pointing to a button called "Use Moo's Binding"
Just reset all my save games, achievements, and settings for a (hopefully) final 100% playthrough of Mythmatch before launch and I want to remind people that this button exists. IYKYK
That's awesome! Good luck tomorrow!!
If anyone else is willing to share Steam Next Fest numbers, please reply to this post.
Let's normalize sharing reality and not "fake it til you make it" culture.
I couldn't find my game without using the weirdest genre tags all at the same time.
I'm not confident my next game will do better given that it's harder to categorize.
Schrodinger's Cat Burglar's performance. I think the thing that pleases me most is the high number of players who wishlisted. It shows that the game sells itself when people experience it.

NIIICE! Are you happy with those numbers? They look great to me but I'm really learning how relative it all is.
That's amazing!! We went in with 10k so would have been amazing to double but I'll honestly take everything I can get!
When I said I wanted to do SNF before launch I often said that I'd be foolish to skip it but even more foolish to think it would change my fortunes. Ha ha. I think that came true and also, I know this won't be a breakout hit, but that was never my goal. I just hope some players get to enjoy it!
Thanks, Korina! I've actually kind of come full circle. First I felt great because we got so many lovely messages about the demo. Then bad because others told me they were terrible numbers. But now I'm feeling okay about them again and glad that I shared!
Thanks for sharing and congrats! I'm feeling better and better about my numbers knowing they're actually a pretty common experience especially for other cool games!
