Not just in 2019, after 30 years of writing about the NHS, I've seen these ideas so many times, but the funding needed to actually put them into practice, well that has never materialised!

Dreams can come true! Have begun my journey to Uttoxeter for Writing West Midlands‘ Regional Writers Meet-Up, this first 4km by bike along the canal. The rest by train.
The bicycle that I used to call ‘the old iron’ has been retired, and now I have ‘the new iron’, which I shall henceforth call ‘the old iron’, here pictured near its place of manufacture, Ironbridge (and actually on the Ironbridge). This will be my last bicycle.
I shared a poem by Catherine Byron this evening and it was admired. She is a poet in danger of being forgotten, but not tonight.
