I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.

marlene tries to "collab" with niko all the time online with like. streaming or art and everytime she asks niko keeps saying "no". this has not stopped marlene yet

niko loves to draw but is not good at it and doesnt care that shes not good. she feels no shame for drawing bad because she likes the act of drawing (she has a hard time translating the lines in her mind to the canvas, so her stuff tends to also be very scribbly)

marlene is funny she'd be a video game and art streamer that draws a dark humor webcomic where a bear constantly mauls people. she would get a crush on niko who is bad at drawing and is online once a month and mostly only posts blurry photos of random cats
