A daisy (mexican fleabane?) growing out of the mortar in the wall of an urban front garden.
Supermarkets also continue to sell glyphosate for people to spray around their gardens.
Could your street become glyphosate free? Is this something youβd be interested in? We are working on nature friendly streets- one street at a time, hoping this will ripple out and inspire others.
A pink wildflower growing in a back lane.
Flowers and plants bring humans so much joy, and are life giving. Yet Cardiff and many other councils spray deadly glyphosate in and around our streets, killing plant life, insect life and has been proven to be harmful to pets and humans.

Weβd like to shine a spotlight on the amazing pavement warriorsβ¦..showing up in the most hostile environments, with resilience and beauty.
Nature wants to bloom and thrive, we just need to support it and help give it room.
Amazingly, the sunflowers we planted in spring which survived the brutal summer drought (with quite a lot of help from Cathays Wild Gardeners) are now flourishing. Lush.
Coming up on Sunday. Big Litter Pick in Cathays. All equipment provided.
