At the end of the day, the Black Lives Matter era was about whether people should be killed in the street, and lots of people decided yeah and put those little blue flags on their cars. It spread to everyone because it stopped for no one.

You can feel like something is inevitable and still experience shock. Many of us knew something like this would happen, bc things like this have already happened, bc law enforcement functions with impunity, bc ICE kept drawing its guns on observers. But emotional and moral shock can still occur.
When you learn how many "they should have just followed orders" people are in this country, then you begin to understand how we arrived to the point of a federal fascist takeover.
If your analysis of Venezuela starts and ends with one white man then you’re most likely part of the problem. This isn’t the first invasion, it is not the last. Empire functions as it’s meant to. If you believe the above then you also function as Empire demands.
