I've always felt a bit sad that we've never met holiday tree gathering with the same gusto as we lavish on 🎃hunting. Suddenly I have a deeper appreciation of the boy scout tree stand 5 minutes away that places the tree on a thingmabob that shakes it vigorously before releasing it to us.
I shared this with my 17 yo this week. I said this is an excellent xmess movie but it was made in the 80s and there are going to be ... some very uncomfortable moments. We got to the train scene and well... his jaw may well still be on the floor. Ahem.

Aww, I remember Dashiell ❤️ Buffy is also a comfort show for me. Ben sweetly spent the three weeks before i had our son gathering each disc via Netflix mailer and burned the entire series for me so I would have something to watch while managing being trapped under a newborn for hours on end.

It is a beautiful movie. I am so greatful we got to see it before it left the theaters. But totally a good at home film as well. Definitely worth seeing. I may watch it again when it shows up on streaming.
