it's 2016: north carolina introduces a bill to ban trans people from using bathrooms safely. there's a national outcry; companies withdraw business up to and including the NCAA cancelling a publicized game. the bill fails.
it's 2026: kansas passes a law nullifying trans people's licenses. crickets.
They won't start with banning birth control. First they'll lie about it. Then dictate who can prescribe it, use it, fund it, in what forms, and for how long. Suddenly, your doctor won't call you back. I know this is what they'll do because it's what they're doing to transgender healthcare right now.
There are two kinds of people in the world:
People who suffered, and think because of that, everyone else should suffer the way they did because otherwise it's not fair.
People who suffered, and think because of that, no one else should have to suffer either.
Be the second.

We're due for 12-18 inches here but it isn't the first time we've had stuff like this so as ready as I can be. Gas heat so should be able to manage even without power and worst case scenario the electric car is fully charged so I could camp out in there for heat if needed. Stay safe & warm man 🫂

so i had this idea to make a whole BTS/POV video thing where i walk around AGDQ & you see my camera overlay but then i found out i forgot my phone mount to record the camera output and somehow lost my action cam mount on day 2 so you get this video instead

Yeah smashing everything just became a chore to me at one point, especially as someone who likes to be a bit of a completionist. And as I said, I just hate how devalued main collectibles tend to feel now. Like I understand the frustrations people had with DK64 but at least the bananas felt earned
Like I understand why they tried this direction in Breath of the Wild and Odyssey but I feel like they've devalued collectibles items, upgrades, and progression in most of their main series at this point so much and I think it's definitely hurting some games/series more than helping
I mostly agree honestly. I enjoyed it for what it was at the time I played it but it definitely wasn't what I was hoping for out of a new 3D DK game. Personally I'm hoping Nintendo gets out of its obsession with trying to "open world" all of their games soon
At the HHS announcement yesterday announcing proposed rules to ban GAC, they said trans people are "at the root of the evils we face" and are "a hatred for nature as God designed it and for life as it was meant to be lived.”
Just in case you thought it was about concerns for proper healthcare.
If they had been no votes instead of yes votes that would have brought the yes count down to 213 and the no up to 214 so yes it would have made the difference- would have failed by 1 vote

despite all the fear mongering about trans people and the attempts to abandon and actively harm us from both political parties in the US, transitioning is still the greatest decision i’ve ever made, only regret i have is not doing it younger, and that it has only made my life infinitely better
