I'm seriously considering doing the same today.
I'm seriously considering doing the same today.
Midwest! I was working outside and was legit sweating earlier.
It's almost 80 here today in February. It should be like 35. It's insane.
I am so heartbroken for the school girls and their families who were attacked today. This is horrific.
It's funny, most of the time I can't watch things like The Walking Dead because it's too depressing. But I go through a periodic, "I need to watch a zombie show where people kick some apocalyptic ass" phase and binge watch a bunch. Watching Daryl Dixon for the first time and liking it so far.
The puppster ran himself out doing zoomies in the snow and now he's sleeping in my lap with a chew toy in his mouth.
Needless to say, I just put her in a jacket that fits her just fine and she can move easily in and she's staring at me with utter betrayal in her eyes because how could I do this to her?
My dog doesn't have an undercoat and gets really cold, and so I have jackets for her to wear in cold weather even just to go out to potty because she's cold even just in the house. She haaaates them and is an absolute drama queen about it. But without them she's so cold.
Be careful out there everyone. This weather is going to be serious.
I actually had a student come to class in a mask today. Glad to see it.
Sun dogs! That's so cool.
I was speaking more for the people suggesting it's a good idea. I didn't think you were being supportive of it. My hope is that enough people are waking up to the fact that we need to eliminate it entirely. π€It's scary here right now.
Consent is clear and shown, acting without consent is inappropriate and negative. There's a scene where Cat Noir refuses a relationship with Marinette because the imbalance of power would be taking advantage of her. It's just a nice change of pace.
We've been rewatching Ladybug, and even though there's a lot of silly stuff around the relationship there, I've got to say it's one of the best depictions of healthy relationships and boundaries I've seen, especially Cat Noir.
My first thought was omg I worry for his wife and children.
I've been trying to get all my "must be done over break" things and getting my class prep done, then I need to start writing again, and I have to decide which one I'm going to work on. The thriller is much more fleshed out and would be easier, but it needs a subplot to get anywhere near long enough.
Same here with my husband, but he's the kind of person who probably reads 300 books a year so it's way more than 2-3x.
I feel like we're almost at a point where "abolish ICE" is the centrist position.
Trust me, y'all don't want them. I'd like to find a way to get rid of the ones we have here. π
I'm pretty sure I'm going to either have to call my current one a novella, or try to find a way to add a rather significant sub plot.
Feeling some massive imposter syndrome this week wrt work stuff. I get great reviews from students on my evaluations, and I always rank above average, but just ugh. Imposter syndrome sucks.
I just found out Indy won a best acting award for Good Boy and I have to say that doggo earned it!
The worst part is being taught growing up that we had learned from all of these terrible things so it wouldn't be repeated and finding out that nope. We're just going to do all this awful, unnecessary stuff because madmen like to have power.
Am I the only one who reads a list of accolades in agent bios (think "represents Pulitzer Prize winning authors") and thinks, "Oh boy, that's out of my league." π
Sending nudges is so stressful.
For me it's not the toothpaste, it's just the act of brushing itself.
Definitely possible (though I personally was able to read way more when I was younger than I do now).
Sadly not the first time babies have been hit with something like this by ICE.
To be clear, I'm not suggesting older people are always better writers. I just think the main effect is one of time to learn a skill. I have known plenty of younger people who were amazing writers, and people who picked up writing as older adults who needed time to improve.
